Event Details:

On Saturday February 6, 2010 PCS students will be participating in the Eastern Chapter of the CT regional competition.  The students will spend the day the USCGA crunching numbers and listening to adults using mathematics daily in their professions.  In the past the audience has been privileged to hear from an ISS Astronaut, and CT local, Captain Daniel Burbank, Dr. Flush the Scientist who developed the Space Shuttles Toilet, and last year a professor of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences who discussed his use of Twitter/FB to model predictability of personal responses and emotions.

The following students will represent PCS at the 2010 MATHCOUNTS competition:
8th Graders - Ciara Hanlon, Rachel Loos, and Katherine Rivers
7th Graders - Connor Hanlon
6th Graders - Jack Archambault, Nick Chan, Katie Fagnat, Ethan Rogers, Caroline Schad and Jourdan Fulchino
