We Still Need Help!

Classroom Docents:  Community Members and Nationals
Several volunteers contact and schedule docents to speak in the classrooms.  Activities include but are not limited to :  sharing folktales or picture books, food, music, travel videos, slide shows, information about the flora and fauna, sharing historical information, making topographical maps, studying current events, craft projects and more.

We are in great need of someone to organize the Marketplace this year.  This entails scheduling volunteers to work on Tuesday, May 11 at the Marketplace, including someone to stamp passports.  The organizer must also make sure the Marketplace gets set-up with several hands-on activities (we already have great ideas if you don’t) and break it down Tuesday after school.

A visit to the Market Place and daily classroom visits from many docents round out this popular and important program.  A special thank you to Sally Rogers for her continuing involvement and oversight of this truly valuable experience and appreciation is extended to all who make this week a special time for all of the students, staff and community.
