This Year’s Initiatives

This year, the PCS PTO is hard at work making connections with the school community. With this in mind, the PTO has set several goals for this year:

  • To make the PCS PTO accessible to more parents and teachers
  • To gain more parent and teacher input in by:
    1. Expanding PTO membership,
    2. Maintaining the website for easy access of information,
    3. Creating a Classroom liaison network of parents who can keep in close contact with classroom teachers and parents, and directly communicate the needs and feedback of each classroom with the PTO. See the Classroom Liaison program.
  • To unveil Minds Alive!, a new Curriculum Enrichment Initiative, providing a well-rounded, high-quality slate of assembly programs for students in grades PK-8 that complement the Connecticut State Standards, the Pomfret Community School Curriculum, and the needs of the PCS teachers and students.
